Back to Chapter 2 Back to Chapter 1
Here are a few wedding pictures. First Lara and Ace, and then Alan and Pepita. Since we had the big garden with its lovely views, we took all the pics at our place.
The peach trees in fruit always add a little colour and a sweet scent to spring.
When Pepita and Alan wed, it rained constantly.
(I asked them to use a kind of confetti that dissolves in water, didn't want to have to spend days picking paper bits out of my lawn.)
Somebody said "CAKE"!
Ace and Lara celebrating that we had bought them a new bed.
I wish I hadn't worn those leggings.
And there is my new coffee machine, which Avery sent away for, from Maylin, for my anniversary present. LOVE that thing.
Larry demonstrating he's still flexible. He takes his glasses off for dancing, so he thinks nobody can see him.
That's what families are about; a place where you can be accepted just as you are.
Even when you dance the Funky Chicken.
We ate an awful lot of cake for days after each party.
Many family visits later. Although we have this lovely house, we actually seem to spend most of our time out of doors. It's so lovely here!
Lara and to a lesser extent Ace are helping with the simpler gardening chores. And Lara and Ace finally worked it out. We are going to be grandparents! Lara told us twins ran in her family; of course she's a twin herself, though very unlike Pepita.
Really need to replace that old TV. It needs repair every week now.
Lara still seems stunned, but is a good mother. Ace takes more of the childcare on, and so does Avery.
A little bit of news from the neighbourhood:
Alan transferred to the "regular police", moving out of the Investigator career. He felt he needed more regular hours.
Doug Kewian, our local lifeguard, has finally retired, after saving many many Sims' lives. He's a local hero.
And some more of ours:
Avery was promoted to Corporate Drone (that's level 4). That means he gets a cubicle of his very own!
Larry Hookins retired.
I never gamble, but the shopkeeper said the Lotto was for a good cause, something to do with clearing the mist from IP. I bought ONE ticket.... I'm not sorry!
I bought a new car for the family, a new TV, and a nice set of nursery furniture. I still can't get the gardening channels though, reception isn't very good here.
Lara had twins: Lazuli and Larry.
And Ace adopted a cat called Nashira.
I'm really loving my garden. I want to expand it a little. The blackberry crop is better every year.
Gardening books suggested there were many more kinds of plants I could grow and I set out on a search to see what I could find on the islands. Had a wonderful time exploring, and brought back some seeds. The only way to identify them is to grow them, but they don't appear to be weeds.
