Sal Ferguson rapidly became Mrs Clouseau.
The only place to buy books was the open-air market.
Sal was a City Council Member.
Intelligence suggested that Clouseau should go and check out the FBBA Ltd Headquarters.
It turned out to be a good tip. Clouseau and a small police force managed to avert catastrophe, and
Jom Garibaldi was arrested while working. He could not hide it this time. Once Jacques found out about it, he had to move out.
At a party at the Curious house.
He shorted out. Brunhilde tried to repair him, which resulted in his catching fire...
But everyone survived.
Sarah gave birth to triplets: Jean-Paul, Jean-Pierre and Jean-Claude.
Jom's revenge was to send several of his union members to Clouseau's place. But White Fang held them at bay.
Sarah chased one off from her garden.
"Calm yourself, my dear. You've just given birth to triplets! Let the officer do her job!"
The computer at Jacques house was very oldfashioned, but she managed to chat with her friends anyway.
Now Sal liked the clerk at the Elixir store. Goodness knows why!
So she started to learn Alchemy, as he kept an Alchemy bench for his customers.
Of course, she transformed into a toad. As you do.
"Err. Jacques? A funny thing happened today."
"But you are a toad!"
"Jacques, I am your wife!"
"Imposter! I would never have married such a one as you! My wife 'as the lovely auburn 'air and the lovely face. Which looks like a HUMAN face."
"Get out of my house, you - you toad, you!"
So she moved out, taking a couple of bottles of very expensive wine and a few gemstones with her, as her alimony.
"You can keep the babies. They are too noisy anyway!"
She moved back into her old house.
Oops.
But even that did not spoil her mood.
Because, now that she was divorced, her friend from the elixir consignment store, Darwin Blackman, moved in with her and into her bed. He got a job in the Theatre as a musician.
Clouseau, meanwhile, advertised for a live-in nanny for the triplets.
Sal's friend Laurie Mathis took the job and promised to keep Sal in touch with the children's progress.
