Pescado 2

Jill Smith was a fine source of local gossip. Clone was particularly attracted to her.

She was a frequent visitor to the house, a keen gamer and educated both Pescadoes about console games.

By the time he was 61, Pescado Senior had established his supply of Elixir.

Jill moved in. Soon she was pregnant.

As a Romance Sim, she felt unsure about marrying Clone Pescado. Sshe was also very queasy.

The guys had some strange ideas about suitable food, and it was upsetting her stomach. That must be it.

JM was promoted to City Council Member. He made friends with Bella Goth, another council member, and found himself mildly attracted to her, as he put it.

Greene grew up into a bright little boy, with lots of brown hair.

Sadly, Jill had a difficult pregnancy and died giving birth to Clone's baby, who they called J.R. Pescado or "Posthumous"

Both missed her, in their different ways.

Once they were calmer, Pes Senior and Clone discussed the problem. "We have no more offspring-minders. We have hired Butler, to buttle, and Nanny to nanny. Greene is almost self-sufficient now, spending his days in school custody, needs little attention in the night. What of J.R? He needs constant offspring-type minding. And while we do not sleep, I might remind you, we do need quiet time to plot and scheme, and time to continue our Sekrit Researches..."

"You are fond of one Goth, with whom you work, why not invite her? She might be suitable offspring-keeper? And she is certainly pulchre..."

"Do not talk of my intended that way or I shall rip off your lips. Find your own pulchre!"

Clone backed off, his hands in front of his mouth.

"It is Clone who does the romancing around here, not I."

Though Bella was more than willing, Pescado Senior was not.

One Upset Bella

However, Bella was a very determined Sim. She babysat for them on and off for some time, but she broke it off when she met Blades Giggy, a romance Sim after her own heart, to whom she eventually was married and more or less settled down.

"I find the whole hunting-offspring-keepers process quite - stimulating," said Clone, and set off to spend another evening in Downtown.

The children were growing up; Greene was by now a child, and little JR was a sweet looking but evil toddler.

Greene, a very musical child, became concertmaster at his school.

JM was promoted to the State Assembly.

J M Pescado was thinking about marriage. He wondered if he should marry LaShawn. But somehow it didn't seem right. She was sweet, and good to the children. But somehow he felt he was not ready to be committed to any one person.

Well, actually, he daydreamed, lying on his bed, there were a couple of Sims in town that he could go for. (Both Clone and JM have 3 bolts for Rohina and Mater Davidoff.)

But Rohina Winks was happily married to Lemmi, Mater Davidoff was in the Asylum and was also already married. Nor was she interested in helping bring up the Pescado children. Not even for a lot of money. "I HAVE a job, you silly Sim."

Clone met Renee Andrews at a clothes shop, the Frippery Frock. She was rather sweet but had an edge, and he thought she might make an acceptable offspring-keeper. In fact he thought she was hot... 2 bolts. She was unfortunately not available as an offspring-keeper, but she did get him a promotion. To Paralegal.

He spent a lot of time interviewing females at the Community Centres.

JM Senior made Congress. And there was much rejoicing.

Clone finally found what he called "a keeper", a Townie named LaShawn Cameron.

She was happy to come and live in and look after the children, but only being assured that they had a butler. "I don't do housework, okay?"

A long time later, LaShawn sprang a surprise engagement at breakfast, over - spaghetti? in front of the children and Pescado Senior. And Clone accepted happily. LaShawn said she wanted to have his babies. Plural.

Pes Senior was not too sure about this. "MOAR offsprings? the house is getting crowded!"
