Kazz was fostered by Nectere Pronup until it was time for her to go to Uni.
"You get loads of money for looking after me, don't you? You can at least give me a decent allowance from it."
"Sure. And I was thinking of extending the house a bit so that we have more space."
Nectere started to write a book about economics. And got a job in the Criminal Career as a Bagman.
Kazzandra went to the swimming pool and decided to dig for treasure in the ground there... She found several rocks, a bone, a tiki idol and a "shapes in space", and an old map, but no real treasure.
Nectere's comment was"Well, they surely would have found any treasure there when they dug out the place for the pool?"
"I hadn't thought of that."
Nectere made friends with a fellow criminal, Joel Jeffress. He wangled her some extra cheap furnishings from the warehouse he was working at, and she was promoted to Con Artist.
Kazz asked her why she was so unimaginative with her hair, and one night she did Nectere's hair for her. "You see, you need a fringe - it helps you look younger."
"Cheeky bugger, I am only ten years older than you!"
"Well you look a LOT older. Let me show you what I mean... and put it in a pony, not a bun."
Kazzandra was right, Nectere did look a lot better with her hair looser, and a little change of makeup.
Nectere was astonished. "But this is amazing - this will really help with work too!" She was becoming a very successful con artist.
"I need you to teach me all about makeup."
"Sure!"
Kazz was still enjoying being young... but growing up fast.
And she loved to cuddle in the hot tub with her friends.
Nectere continued in her career, now a bank Robber, and a colleague Joel Jeffries moved in. Kazzandra was working up the grades to go to Uni. They all got on pretty well.
After some time, Joel asked Nectere to marry him, and they had a roaring success wedding at home. Kazzandra was delighted, and enjoyed the party.
Soon pregnant, Nectere went off to find some maternity wear.
Their twins were named Aurora and Aurelius. Both rather shy, and not the most exciting looking kids, but the family was happy.
Nectere was using her maternity leave to work on her keyboard playing. She was getting quite good at it. The children were bright too; Aurora particularly, was very good at logic blocks. Aurelius loved the fish tank and spent most of his time watching the fish and their tiny lives.
"If you want to look after fish when you grow up, you'll have to work very hard and go to university," said his Mum. "Instead of getting a grunt job like me and your Dad."
Aurelius picked his nose and tried to look intelligent.
Joel came home from work very excited one day. "I'm bringing a machine home, so I can work from home", he told Nectere. So I can effectively retire. And it's a foolproof prototype: one the police can't pick up on their scanners. Unless a cop actually comes into the house and sees it, it should be safe."
Nectere was not convinced, but as she had just got work as a Cat Burglar, she didn't mind too much. And it would be good to have Joel at home with the children. She was not sure she trusted the succession of nannies they had had.
Sadly, Joel died very soon after retiring. The machine stayed, unused.
Feeling lonely, Nectere asked an old friend, Gary Walton, to move in with her and the children, and they were soon engaged.
